2011 Levy Results Defined Ready for School is measured by the Washington Kindergarten Inventory of Developmental Skills (WaKIDS) 8/1/2012 4

2011 Levy Results Defined 8/1/ Successful in School is measured by: The Measurements of Student Progress; The Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment; The High School Proficiency Exam; On-time promotion to 10th grade; and, End-of-Course Math Exams.

2011 Levy Results Defined 8/1/ Graduating Ready for College and Career is measured by: On-time graduation; Graduating meeting the state’s requirements for entry into a Washington state four-year college; Completion of a career and technical education course of study; Graduates enrolling in post-secondary education; Graduates not enrolling in remedial education courses; and, Graduates continuously enrolled in college for one year.

Tracking to Results Programs adopt key indicators that are expected to be predictive of results. Key indicators are tracked routinely. Results and indicators inform decisions about ongoing and annual course corrections. 8/1/2012 7

Data Framework SPS student level data three times per year. Program data more often:  Programs collect additional data that they track as often as weekly.  Data reported to OFE no more frequently than monthly. 8/1/

Contractual Obligations 8/1/ Results and indicators are spelled out in contracts for Levy investments. Funding is partially dependent on results.

Course Corrections Programs track their progress toward success and make course corrections throughout the year OFE recommends course corrections, usually at mid-year for the next school year Programs often make special data requests to explore possible course corrections 8/1/
