| See the possibilities… System Changes Calculation in square feet or linear inches for roll fed machines. File resolution factored into speed calculation. Allows for various ink sets. Substrates are infinite length for roll material. Purchasing unit of measures for substrates now supported are square inch, linear inch, square foot, linear foot and MSI.

Ink Types Many ink types available depending on the type of machine. –Solvent –UV –Opaque ePace can limit which machines can use certain ink types. Different inks can print at different speeds. | See the possibilities…

Press Types Your type of equipment will determine your press type configuration. There are three primary press types for wide format estimating. –Wide format roll square foot –Wide format roll linear inch –Wide format sheet These press types will determine how ePace calculates your estimate. | See the possibilities…

Speed Factors Most commonly used in wide format for file resolution. –High resolution –Normal resolution –Low resolution Speed factor is simply a description to be used when the speed table is built on the machine and in estimating. | See the possibilities…

Machine Setup- Color Info Colors side 1 is the total inks this machine can print on side 1 only. Typically this is 4, 6 or 8. Colors side 2 should be zero UNLESS the machine can print on the back in a single pass. Total colors will be the maximum number the machine can print in a single pass. If machine prints 1 side at a time only this number will be 4, 6 or 8. If machine can print on the back in a single pass this number will be 8, 12 or | See the possibilities…

Machine Setup – Size Info Rolls Minimum size –Enter the smallest roll width in the width field. The length should be “1” to represent a minimum of 1”. Maximum size –Enter the largest roll width in the width field. The length field should be populated with 9’s so the system never reaches a max. Maximum image area –Enter the largest image width you want to allow to print. | See the possibilities…

Machine Setup – Size Info Sheets Minimum size –Enter the smallest sheet width in the width field. –Enter the smallest sheet length in the length field. Maximum size –Enter the largest sheet width in the width field. –Enter the largest sheet length in the length field. Maximum image area –Enter the largest image width you want to allow to print. –Enter the largest image length you want to print. This dimension starts from the lead edge of the sheet. | See the possibilities…

Machine Setup - Makeready Enter initial time if you desire a one time setup fee. Initial make-ready sheets will be entered as square feet or linear inches if your machine is of this type. | See the possibilities…

Machine Setup – Wash-up Some machines do require a wash or flush when changing ink types. If you desire the flexibility of charging for wash-ups, enter time as applicable. | See the possibilities…

Machine Setup - Speeds If press type is setup as linear inch, then speed will be entered as linear inches per hour. If press type is setup as square foot, then speed will be entered as square feet per hour. If press type is impressions, then speed will be entered as sheets per hour. Speed factor will provide for an extra level of control over the speed. | See the possibilities…

Inks Depending upon the number of press ink types you created will determine how many inks you will need. If you created two ink types (solvent, UV) then this would require 2 different sets of process inks to be setup. Mileage will be based on your purchase unit of measure. For example, many inks are purchased in liters therefore the mileage factor will be based on coverage per liter not pound. | See the possibilities…

Substrates Create new standard “paper” types for the different substrates you print on. –Plastic –Vinyl –Fabric Create “paper” types for each new standard type. | See the possibilities…

Substrates Many substrates are based on the thickness of the material. In this case, select weight type of caliper. Enter this thickness in the caliper field. Others are based on weight such as ounces for example. In this case, select weight type of basis. You will enter the ounces (weight) of the material in the weight field. | See the possibilities…

Substrates Roll material sizes are entered roll width x 0. Sheet material sizes are entered lead edge (edge feeding into the machine) x length. For example, a 4 x 8 sheet of foam core would be entered 48 x | See the possibilities…

Categories & Products Leverage categories to create new groupings for wide format printing. –Wide format would be a simple category. –POP or Out of Home could be more detailed categories. Create products for specific products –Banners –Billboards –Floor graphics | See the possibilities…

Estimating Amount of substrate required for rolls will always calculate in total linear feet needed. Amount of substrate required for sheeted materials will always calculate total sheets required. Verify correct press ink type is selected. System will use the default you selected automatically. | See the possibilities…

Estimating Verify speed factor is correct if applicable. Verify finishing has all operations necessary to complete the job. | See the possibilities…
