Forge Into The Future With the Office of Career Services and College Central Network To forge into your future, you must…

First Visit… All students and alumni are eligible to use the College Central Network (CCN) on-line services and resources after completing the following registration process:

Registration/Resume Entry Step 1: Go to: Step 2: Click on Student Central or Alumni Central. Step 3: Click Resume Central and your purpose for visiting the site, i.e. uploading resume, updating resume, etc.

Step 4: Enter the name of your school: FROSTBURG STATE UNIVERSITY Step 5: Create/enter your unique ID. Step 6: Create/enter your unique password. Step 7: Confirm your password.

And… Once you have identified your school and created an identity for yourself, you will be asked to complete the REGISTRATION form and then to upload your RESUME.

Please Note… Registration through this specialized site automatically assumes that you have a completed resume on disk ready to upload. If this is not the case, and you need to build one from scratch, then enter through or

Now back to the Instructions: Step 8: Enter all demographic information. Fields with a red (*) asterisk are required (name, current address, telephone number). Step 9: Answer questions about where you want to work and the kind of jobs that interest you. Employers will search this information, as well as the degrees you are obtaining. Be as thorough and complete as possible.

Step 10: Select authorization options. You can decide whether your resume is only to be accessed by Career Services, or if you wish employers to search your resume. Click the choice that best fits your job searching needs. Feel free to discuss this choice with Career Services.

College Central Network CCN wants to know if you want to hear from them on occasion about job opportunities that match your interests as well as job fairs and other news items. Please choose or decline this service.

Now back to the process Step 11: Click “Continue to Post Resume” if you are registering for the first time. Step 12: From Student or Alumni Central: Click on “Resume Central,” then click on “Updating Resumes.” Enter school name, ID, and password.

Step 13: Click the “My Uploaded Resume” link. Click “Browse” to call up the completed resume from disk to hard drive. Once the path is selected, click “Upload my Resume.” Your resume posting is now complete. All you need to remember is your ID and password in the future to utilize College Central.

At this time you can… View your resume. Search for jobs on CCN. Forward your resume to employers. See how you are doing in your search.

Job Search Tips When conducting a job search using CCN, be aware that when you type and click on information, such as Company Name, Degree, Areas of Interest, Full-Time/Part-Time Jobs, etc., you are narrowing your search. Although it is a good idea to conduct a focused search, you may also want to try searching different criteria. To view all jobs posted, leave all the search fields blank.
