Assurance - My Salvation Who Gives Eternal Life? Who Has Eternal Life? Who Doesn’t Have Eternal Life?

1 John 5:11-13 v. 11 And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. v. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. v. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.

Dealing with Doubts It is obvious that the devil will try to convince you that you are not really saved! Perhaps you have already had some doubts. Don’t worry. It is normal to doubt that God would want to save us. God’s Word Assures Us Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.”

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

Can God Lie? Titus 1:2 – In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago… GOD CANNOT There are many thing God cannot do! He cannot lie, or sin. He cannot change, or be unfair. God cannot die! He is eternal. God lives forever.

We as believers are in God’s Hand John 10:27-29 – My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My Hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

How assuring to know that no one can pluck you from God’s Hand John 1:12 tells us that as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. Just by accepting Christ you have become His child.

Hide God’s Word The Bible says we are to hide God’s Word in our hearts. Jesus Christ died for us! John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. When the devil tries to make you doubt, tell him how you know you are saved. The Word of God is powerful and will defeat Satan.

The Son gives life to whom He will John 5:24, He gives everlasting life to those who believe.
