What days do you come to class? What time does class begin? What time does class end? How many times a week do you come?

Is it important to come to class? WHY?

Attendance is very important! If you cannot come to class, tell your teacher or call Kellie at With 70% attendance, you will be on the list for the next session. (You will still pay $20.)

If the weather is bad and the school or library is closed, class is cancelled. If class is cancelled for another reason, we will tell you. If you want to know if class is cancelled, call Kellie at

Why do we speak only English in class? Teachers use English only. Я счастлив. Je suis heureux. أنا سعيدة Estoy contento. I am happy.

Is it difficult for you to learn in school? “I can’t see.” “I don’t see letters” name naem “I can’t hear.” Please talk with your teacher.

Each session there are two tests: a listening test and a reading test. Why is it important to take the tests?

You can practice your listening and reading skills. You can see how your English is improving. The teacher can see how your English is improving. Spring Institute can show the government that the students are learning. The government gives Spring Institute money for the classes.

We want you to have a good English class! What makes you happy in class? What makes you unhappy in class?

If you are unhappy in class, we can help. Please talk to your teacher or a volunteer, or call Kellie at For a big problem in the class, you can send a form to the Spring Institute boss.
