Objectives Introduce the Pine Barrens of NJ. Understand two trees of the Pine Barrens. Explore the bark, seeds, and leaves of the pitch pine and red oak. Identify characteristics of the bark, seeds and leaves. Distinguish between these two tree species. Record visual, verbal, or tactile observations.
