Step 1: Finding a Job  There are many ways to find a job:  Newspaper adds  Dropping off resumes to businesses  Looking on-line for job postings  Craigslist: Vancouver, BC  Workopolis: Vancouver, BC  Make sure the postings are legitimate  drive by the business with a guardian

Be Sure to Read the Postings  You can learn a lot about the skills and qualifications an employer is looking for in their prospective employees by reading the job posting  Always read postings careful and extract useful information

Sample Posting  COBS Bread is looking for Sales Assistants to join our team. As a Sales Assistant with COBS Bread you will have previous retail experience. Previous experience in customer service and cash handling is preferred, although it is not essential as we offer full training.  As a Sales Assistant at COBS Bread you will:  Be reliable.  Be a self-motivated and eager to learn.  Be a team player.  Be enthusiastic and energetic.  Have a drive for success and a positive attitude.
