Time Management The process of planning and scheduling activities to make our time more productive.

Procrastinate Putting off a task that are more urgent until the last minute. We usually spend our time doing things that are less important or time wasting instead of attending to the tasks we need to be doing.

Prioritize To arrange in the order of importance.

URGENT Something that requires immediate attention!!!

IMPORTANT Requires serious attention.

HOW TO CHANGE: 1. Be ORGANIZED 2. PLAN 3. PRIORITIZE 4. AVOID OVERLOAD 5. Be FLEXIBLE

Be ORGANIZED ~ calendar, agenda, folders, neat, ~ “ A place for everything & everything in its place.”

PLAN schedule activities combine any that you can determine amount of time break big activities down into small parts

PRIORITIZE Put in order Think about Goals Consider due dates and time lines

AVOID OVERLOAD Take breaks Schedule time to rest and relax Learn to say “no” to unnecessary things

Be FLEXIBLE Expect the unexpected Don’t procrastinate so you have extra time to fall back on Plan extra time into the schedule Ask for help when it is needed
