The APS and psychology students

About the APS The largest professional organisation for psychologists in Australia, representing more than 21,000 members A long and proud history of advocating for psychology to improve the psychological health of Australians Provides guidance and support to its members – the APS psychologists who provide psychological knowledge, advice and care to benefit hundreds of thousands of Australians Committed to the next generation of psychologists, with over 2,500 student members who are being guided through their journeys to become psychologists

The difference between the APS and the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) The PsyBA is the government-appointed regulatory body for psychologists – “the registration board for psychologists”. It is a separate organisation from the APS. PsyBA functions include: Registration of psychologists and provisional psychologists, including maintaining an online register of psychologists Handling notifications, complaints, investigations and disciplinary hearings

Student Subscriber membership Student Subscribers of the APS are entitled to a range of personal and professional benefits available exclusively to APS members.
