Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna Mission Direct involvement of young people. No longer considering young people as a problem, but as a resource. Focusing on young people, their talent and their creativity, within the proposed initiatives. Providing young people with concrete opportunities of training and of cooperation with the world of work. Facilitating the use of new technologies, of the Internet and of all new media, increasing the professionalism of young people. Facilitating participation, active citizenship, and cooperation with associations and with the local territory.

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna From Informa Giovani to Giovani Informa Action 1: On-line services of young people for young people Consolidation of the experiences of the network Flashgiovani.it : a project aimed at young people with information and suggestions on services and opportunities for young people Implementation of the on-line information service for health in cooperation with Spazio Giovani of the Local Health Authority Creation of the service On-line psychologist and of the on-line sections The room of secrets and A song for you, which are managed with the association Dedalus di Jonas 11,323,000 visitors per month; 8,245,000 consulted pages per year on average 700 on-line questions every 6 months on average 200 on- line questions every 6 months

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna Network as a boost to creativity Action 2: Creative young people on-line Highlighting the experience of the portals for creative young people, Highlighting the role of the boards of creativity and the importance of publishing the curricula and the works of the young artists. Carrying out initiatives, events, exhibitions and competitions 2,650 young artists with 3,100 works 1,926 comic projects on line 433 pieces of music 1,610 audiovisual operators enrolled 5 competitions for cartoonists and 1 competition for videomakers 521 young artists + 57 troupes of young videomakers

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna Giving a voice to the voiceless Action 3: Codec.tv and Radio FM Strengthening the role of the web-tv on policies for young people of the Municipality of Bologna Codec-tv, a laboratory that is open to all the young people who wish to work with audiovisuals Production of commercials for smaller realities that enrich the social and cultural framework of Bologna. Co-planning of the video competition Take Action together with Associazione Italiana contro le Leucemie (Italian Association against Leukemias) 294 episodes 1,303 on-line videos 27 episodes Creation of a web-radio that is linked to local districts, run by young people for young people The winners made a professional and remunerated commercial for the production company ITC Movies

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna Learning by doing Action 4: Transition school/ work Creation of a concrete opportunity of transition from school to work, activating scholarships through agreements with the University for post-graduate internships Assigning young recent graduates to the staff of municipal employees, as a way to stimulate the innovation of the promotion processes of services aimed at young people Involving young people in socially useful projects, translating their knowledge into services that are useful to the community, highlighting the role of training at school and at the university. 20 scholarships for recent graduates 200: total number of young volunteers and trainees, 30 of which come from European countries that carry out the editing of the Network «Giovani on line» (Young people on line)

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna Young citizens of the world Action 5: International exchange programs Expanding the experience of international exchange programs: o rganization of the summer program of summer exchanges and summer study programs; activation of the fee reduction system for economically disadvantaged young people. Support to the schools that promote international exchange programs with host family accommodation 30 school exchange programs 8 secondary schools 2,000 young people in school and non-school exchange activities with 16 European and non- European countries

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna Carta Giovani Action 6: Economic facilities for young people Implementation of services, and creation of points of sale and cultural initiatives which facilitate a type of consumption that is linked to culture, for young people aged between 15 and 30. Activation of partnerships with other Italian towns which promote the same service 5,104 cards «CartaGiovani» distributed in one year 971 services and shops that joined the initiative

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna «Say yes too !» Action 7: Promoting voluntary work Promotion and support of the Sayes project, organized by the Provincial Voluntary Center in summer, in order to enable young people to experience an alternative holiday. The initiative is aimed at young people aged between 15 and18, who join different voluntary associations for a period of days from June to September on average 80 young volunteers each year

Progetto Giovani – Municipality of Bologna A network for legality Action 8: Supporting free associations Drafting and publishing an announcement to provide aid for the support of youth activities in the field of multimedia, interculture and art, promoted by associations of young people less than 35 years of age, which are able to implement high-impact initiatives and continuous services for young people.
