Database a Teacher’s Tool

This form is great, but how do I add more than one name?

Access allows you to add navigation buttons. Navigation Buttons allows the user to move between records and make the form more user friendly.

I see now how adding navigation buttons would enhance my form.

What button do you click to switch to Design View? A. The View Button B. The New Button C. Create Tab

What button do you click to add navigation buttons? To add the navigation buttons, we will need to use the Command button located in the toolbar. Click on the command button. The mouse will turn into a box. Simply move your mouse down to the bottom of the form where you would like your button to be placed. Click to add the button. A.Combo box B.List box C.Command button D.Toggle button

Do go to the next record, what category is selected? A. Form Operation B. Miscellaneous C. Record Navigation Record Navigation should be selected for both Go to the Next Record.

What are the options for what will appear on the button? The next screen allows you to choose text or picture for your buttons. Select Text and choose Next. A.Text or picture B.Colors

What category should you select to have an action to close the form? In the categories box, click on Form Operations, then in the actions box, select Close Form A. Record Navigation B. Application C. Form Operation

To view the form and use the new navigation buttons, what must you click on? In the toolbar, click on the down arrow beneath View and choose Form View A. View/Form View B. View/Layout View C. View/Design View
