How does Zinc affect the liver? By: Gus Koza and Jerome Haitaian

Original Question What mineral is most important to our body? This question had so many answers to it so we wanted the question to become deeper and affect a certain part of the body, so we chose the liver. We saw that the liver was affected positively and negatively by a couple different substances and minerals.

Liver (Negatively) The liver is made up of 10 parts shown in the diagram below. The part that zinc mostly affects negatively is the stomach. It is taken for colds and then if you have a sensitive stomach it could upset it very easily.

Liver (Positively) There are helpful supplements that avoids Hepatitis C, it is called turmeric. It is a anti- inflammatory spice that helps avoid inflammation in the inferior. There are also several vitamins that helps like Vitamin B, C, and E. Vitamin B helps to regulate a process in the liver called detoxification, which helps remove toxic substances. Vitamin C helps speed the liver healing process up. And Vitamin E might help push off molecular changes in the cirrhosis. This is part of a liver cleanse process.

Alcohol What is the cause of alcohol in the liver? The liver still needs zinc and alcohol causes the liver to loose most of its zinc supplements from alcohol induced liver damage. This can make your liver sensitive to other supplements and which can cause even more deeper problems such as disease.

High Cholesterol High cholesterol affects the arteries causing them to harden doing this it causes blockage with bloodstreams that runs through the liver. This could cause a blood vessel to rupture making you have common chest pains, cramps, and headaches.

Foods that can harm High sugars and salts are the most harmful to the liver. This can cause a disease fatty liver disease that can be harmful to your body. You can avoid this by eating healthy and keep your amount of calories consumed in a day to a minimum.
