Eng, F.I.E.K., MCIArb, GBCSA has taken a leading role to get many African countries supported. Namibia is closest in links with SA Building codes and standards. LEED is taken by USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, for obvious regional connectivity and inter- trade historical ties GBCSA sees GBCNA excitedly as a kid-brother and are willing to train them. GBCSA has seen the support by GBA as a lesson to pass on their experiences to others.

Ideas for future collaboration with African GBCs Regions and Networking WorldGBC works to facilitate closer collaboration between GBCs through our Regional Networks and Congress. The coming together of all of the people involved in the green building movement from all parts of the world is both inspiring and powerful. This connection and interaction is generating collaborative projects as we align these common agendas.Regional NetworksCongress Need to share Annual Calendar of activities Invite presenters across the continent in our GBC Conventions Strengthening GBCs By creating opportunities to learn from one another and by documenting the best practices of the GBC model, we are able to support GBCs in their development to ensure they become robust and effective organizations. Adhering to a common model also means that younger GBCs don’t have to re- invent the wheel and, as a result, can deliver speedier results on the ground than they would if working alone. WorldGBC is continuously developing guides and collecting useful resources from all around the world to help facilitate strong GBC growth. Frederick P.O. Muketi,BSc.HonsME, MBA, Pr. Eng, F.I.E.K., MCIArb,
