Banned Books Week BY: Ruth Infante
Always Running In the book “Always Running” from Luis J. Rodriguez a boy named Luis tells his story about life as a gangster and life in the streets. This book was banned in some schools because of gang violence, sex descriptions, fowl language and use of drug use.
Banned book This book can be controversial because of the fowl language and sex description. For example, “Paco’s pants were below his knees and I could see his buttocks rise up and down as he thrust into her, her weak moans more than the weight of the body than anything else”(Rodriguez 122). I think that they banned this because of sex descriptions and immature students.
Censorship I think that this book is a little to detail with the sex scenes but it is a good book/story. I think that censorship is relevant with this book because it might be to strong for immature students. I would not let my child read this book unless they are mature enough
