2 BANNED BOOKS WEEK

3 Censorship Every year people decide to ban books. For example, Always Running from Luis J. Rodriguez is banned at many schools. This excerpt is an autobiography and by the age of twelve he was a veteran of East L.A. gang warfare. Its banned because it contains violence, sex scene, and a use of drugs.

4 Always Running o Her fingers kneaded the top of my penis, hard and wet with anticipation, can be seen as controversial. o “Eso, asi … oh baby like me” (Rodriguez 128). o Most people think it’s a problem because its inappropriate, has sexual intercourse, and most kids aren't matured enough.

5 Books Shouldn’t Be Banned  I feel that students my age should be mature enough and be able to read books that they want.  They shouldn't ban this book because everyone should have privileges to read what they like.  This book can actually make students recognize from right to wrong.
