1. Argentina in South America; Buenos Aires, Entre Rio, Sante Fe and La Pampa

2. During the Spanish Colonial period from the 16 th -19 th century, Spanish Jews moved to Argentina secretly while the country was still under Spanish rule. Western European Jews started to move to the country in the mid 19 th century. Then Eastern European Jews and Russians moved to Argentina in the late 19 th century escaping poverty and pogroms. Between 1906 and 1912, Jews moved there every year, mostly from Europe and Morocco and Turkey.
