Why did they or your parents move? Do you know when your family came to America?

5 Predicting Why did people move to the United States between 1865 and 1914? What changes/inventions/events that we’ve discussed contributed to an increase in immigration?

Repealed old laws forcing peasants to stay in villages and skilled workers from leaving the country

12 The Future A group of space explorers have gone to Mars and established a small colony there. A second group has built an undersea colony in the Indian Ocean. What would have to be present on Mars or under the sea for people to be willing to move there? Suppose people were forced to move to one or the other. Which one would they choose? Why?
