Wifi Today, wireless connections to the internet are very popular, convenient, and quite secure. Coffee houses, restaurants, and hotels are among the many places that offer free wifi.wifi. Why? The average person has at least one device that runs off wireless access. It is just another facet of customer service.

Wireless networks allow devices to connect to the internet through a router with no cables of any kind.

Protocols A protocol is a set of rules or agreed upon guidelines for communication. On the internet, the set of agreed upon rules (communication protocols) is called TC/PIP. In a wireless network, there are various protocols in use; the most prevalent is b.

Standards Standards are put into place to make sure that every piece of the network equipment (made by different vendors) will work together for transporting the data Linksys router HP laptop Apple products

Equipment Wireless adapters, wireless routers, antenna, access points, and repeaters Most laptops and other smart devices come equipped with wireless adapters. Adapters can be purchased for items that are not equipped. Wireless routers are used to set up wireless networks. Routers come in different sizes according to the need. Most routers have antenna and can be used as access points.

Home repeater system A repeater is a signal regenerator. It increases distances. Great for use between 2 buildings in the same entity. More Equipment

Bluetooth Wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances, using short-wave radio transmissions from fixed and mobile devices creating a personal area network (PAN) with a high level of security This wireless headset works with Bluetooth. Click here for more about Bluetooth

Cell Phone Data Networks If no internet access is available, you can surf the web on your phone, using its data network Large lattice like towers make this possible.
