But if you like the part of veterinary medicine that is taking care of puppies & kittens you will be: Educating owners about proper animal nutrition Using laboratory equipment, x-rays and other specialized equipment to diagnose problems Prescribing medicine Delivering babies And performing surgery!!!

How do I begin to become a veterinarian? Take as much science as you can in high school and college. Get as much experience with as many different kinds of animals as you can. Get to know a veterinarian and ask lots of questions.
