Geothermal Energy Geothermal energy is energy from the Earth

Disadvantages Geothermal power plants smell like rotten eggs Geothermal power plants may release toxic gasses It is very hard to determine a good geothermal spot from above ground

History Geothermal energy has been around for millions of years a long time Indians thought hot springs were sacred In 1904 the first Geothermal power plant was made, but the first Geothermal electric plant came out nine years later in 1913

Fun Facts Animals hibernate under ground in the winter and live in under ground dens or holes in the summer because under ground it is a constant temperature hotter then the surface of the Earth in the winter or colder than the surface of the Earth in the winter

Thanks for watching!
