Puerto Rico WebQuest Rosanne Luis

Introduction The island of Puerto Rico, which is still one of the existing territories of the United States, is one of the more popular vacation spots in the Caribbean Islands. Filled with rich culture and history, there is more than meets the eye in Puerto Rico. Your task is to train to become an official tour guide in Puerto Rico. Your journey through this WebQuest will help answer this question: Why is it nicknamed, “La Isla de Encanto?”

Task Working with yourself and a group, you will choose a topic about Puerto Rico that you will report to the class. Using research sources, such as books, internet sites and video, you will gather information about the chosen topic. Present your findings to the class, in the form of a presentation and submit a group report.

Process 1.Choose between one or two classmates to form a group. 2.Choose one of the following topics of study: history, culture, food, climate, famous people and places to see. 3.Use the Internet and school library to do your research. 4.Write a written report about chosen topic. Be sure to include between facts. Paper must be between 2 and a half to 4 pages. 5.You will present your written report in the form of a 5-10 minute presentation to your class.
