Presentation transcript:

Above, Mike Rosen visits the grave of his friend Sgt. Michael Carlson who was killed amongst the fighting in Iraq. This was in March, The milestone of deaths had reached 4,000 by this day. It’s now 2010, when is the time going to come where families can be reunited?

American DeathsIraqi Deaths As of April 2003, a month after the war started, Americans were named at 73 deaths, and 340 wounded As of January 2010, American deaths were named at 4,282 and 30,182 injured. This averages out to deaths and injuries at 611 people and 4,312 people, respectively. There have been an estimated 100,000 U.S casualties. By April 2003, the Iraqi body count preceded Americas’ with 7,419 deaths. As of January 2010, Iraqi deaths were estimated at 104,397. There have been an estimated 107,594 Iraqi casualties.

L. Paul Bremer was the man in charge of the decision to disband the Iraqi army. This decision was one of the biggest mistakes, and went against Americas’ prewar planning. Although there was barely an army to disband at the time, Bremer still went ahead with the decision. A letter was sent to Bush from Bremer, telling him what he was up to in Iraq, and his immediate plan to remove Saddam and the Baath party, and to make life better in Iraq. In response, Bush sent a letter back to Bremer, telling him that he was doing a good job, and that he was in support of his decision. Bremer also had the support of top officials of The White House, and The Pentagon. Although the blame goes to Bremer, the duty was handed down to him from Douglas Feith the under-secretary of defense, who reported directly to Deputy of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, who was handed down the duty from Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld. So by the books Bremer, Feith, and Wolfowitz were all playing the role of a messenger. Rumor has it that Rumsfeld was passed down the idea from someone in The White House. All leads point to V.P at the time, Dick Cheney. A rumor is that Cheney got the idea from Iraqi Exile Ahmad Chalabi. Ahmad’s agenda fit along perfectly with had just taken place. His interests were to remove all Baathists from Iraqi politics and society, and to install the FIF as the base of the new Iraqi army.

$900 Billion dollars of U.S tax payers’ money, all spent or approved for spending. $9 Billion dollars of U.S tax payers’ money, all lost and unaccounted for. $549.7 million dollars in spare parts sent to US contractors, in ,000 Guns missing and unaccounted for, including 110,000 AK-47 rifles. $10 Billion dollars wasted and mismanaged. $1 billion in tractor trailers, tank recovery vehicles, machine guns, rocket- propelled grenades and other equipment-Lost. All numbers as of September 29, 2010
