Rule 4 Vowels a, e, i, o, u, usually say “a”, “e”, “o”, “u” at the end of a syllable Example: me, go, mu sic, a way, be long

Example: will, off, glass, roll Rule 17 We often double the l, f, s following a single vowel at the end of a one syllable word Example: will, off, glass, roll

Rule 19 Vowels i and o may say “i” and “o” if followed by two consonants Example: find, old, post

Rule 25 c-k is used only after a single vowel which says “a”, “e”, “i”, “o”, “u” Example: back, deck, pick, rock, duck
