Mintel Why Use? Gives good data on consumer related marketing Offers both demographic & psychographic information. Is consumer driven; not industrial Coverage is U.S. as well as limited Int.

Market Research.com Why use? Coverage goes beyond consumer markets. Energy, communications, medical devices, consumer finance/credit cards, mobile payments, foods, & more. Makret reports also address consumer categories such as Millennials. Gen X&Y, gender, races and other consumer related categories.

Simmons ONEVIEW Use this database for developing market research, or developing potential customers using demographics & psychographics. Marketing strategy-Determine the target user group. Statistics and data-How many people in sample X read? Who are they. Show brand loyalty or sole brand user. Data is based on survey responses prior 2 yrs.

STATISTA Ready-made statistical charts, graphs, and tables, covering a wide range of subject matter. Not limited to consumer related info, but much broader, with coverage of industrial and manufacturing sectors. They also publish reports (dossiers & studies)

PEW Research Center Non-partisan research focusing on families, communities, e-health, education, politics, and news. Reports focus on people’s attitudes and behaviors as they relate to politics, media & news, social trends, religion, Internet, & technology. Also contains Social Networking, through the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

Industry Information Freedonia Focus Reports Coverage is geared towards manufacturing and industrial. In addition to the USA, reports also cover selected countries. Some consumer reports, but geared towards manufacturing. Data gives some market segmentation and geographic segmentation as well as top companies.

MERGENT Web Reports Includes decent analysis of key industries in North America, Europe, & Asia/Pacific.

Mergent Online Financial Information on publicly traded companies, U.S. & International Financial info can go back 10 years or more. Also has supplier & competitor info listed under the Horizon tab.

Standard & Poor's Net Advantage Industry surveys are good. Also shows you trends in the industry, how to analyze an industry, & how an industry operates Also contains company info as well as some analyst reports, and Compustat Analytics.

GARTNER News, research analysis, and events about technology markets and industries. Their “Hype Cycle” reports on a wide range of technical and related areas, are an industry standard. Detailed coverage of tech markets and related content. A great place to get info on areas such as “Cloud Computing,” “Big Data,” the “Next Big Thing,” and the “Internet of Things

Marketline Offers numerous industry information reports globally. With these reports, you will get Porter’s Five Forces Analysis, as well as Market Segmentation. May also search by company, which will often give you a SWOT analysis.

ONESOURCE (Go To Ref USA) Company information on almost one million global companies, including large and mid- sized US companies. Very detailed company information including financials. Will often include analyst reports, as well as Strategic Initiative & a SWOT. May search by industrial codes: NACIS SIC, & others, which will often produce industry reports.

Articles ABI/INFORM Academic and industry oriented business periodical literature. The publications tab, includes Marketing Journals as well as other business publications. Full text access to the Wall St Journal, Business Week; Articles only

Business Source Complete Peer-reviewed journals covering topics such as management, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. Country Economic reports also included. Science Direct (Sci-verse) Don’t let the name fool you! Contains numerous articles in marketing, as well as management, operations research, finance, and related content. International in scope, with coverage going back to 19 th century.
