Reciprocal Reflexive Pronouns

In all of the previous examples, “se” and “nos” represent each other Los pájaros se besan The birds kiss each other.
Nosotros nos abrazamos We hug each other
Is this a reciprocal action? NO!! In this case, only one person is performing the action upon the other. La muchacha besa a su novio. OR La muchacha le da un beso a su novio.
To form the reciprocal reflexive follow these steps: Take the verb and strike out the “se” abrazarse decide which pronoun to use: se/nos write the pronoun in front of the verb conjugate the verb into any tense you would like: se abrazaban they used to hug each other nos abrazábamos we used to hug each other
