Joel Samen for President MS-MBA Association 200 Members 100% Employment These are my goals for the MS- MBA Association – to have 200 alumni and current students in our LinkedIn group by May 2012 and to have 100% employment within three months of graduation. By building our collective network, through the use of LinkedIn and the launch of a new MS-MBA Association website, we can attract interest from the companies for which we want to work. The goal of every student in the association is to get the job they want by graduation. If we all work together, communicate well, and share resources, we can make it happen.

Joel Samen for President MS-MBA Association How We’re Going To Do It LinkedIn Strive for 100% participation among current students Reach out to alumni as an opportunity for them to network Create useful content to be shared online, making participation worthwhile Improved Web Presence Launch new MS-MBA Association site (already in progress) Post blogs by MS-MBA students to raise authors’ online profiles Provide employer testimonials on website regarding value of MS-MBA Work With BU to Create Opportunities We Want Communicate with Feld Career Center to bring employers to us Build a curriculum for Spring 2012 and beyond to shape program Increase opportunities for learning and networking outside classroom

Joel Samen for President MS-MBA Association Why I’m the Right Leader Started working with Dean Chalykoff and current MS-MBA Association leadership during the fall of 2010 to improve online presence Took initiative to create LinkedIn group to form strong network of MS-MBA students, past and present, that will improve employment opportunities Experienced using social media and websites to strategically create groups to reach common goals Well-versed in marketing concepts that will raise the program’s profile to get us noticed by potential employers 200 Members 100% Employment is not just my goal for next year’s MS-MBA Association, but it’s a direction that can impact the perception of MS-MBA program for years to come among alumni, employers, and the rankings. Together, we can raise the value of this program, get the jobs we want, and help mold the MS-MBA to fit our own vision.
