Formal IPE Program First year: Seminar Second year: Asynchronous activity Third year: Case conferences

First Year Seminar Three 1.5 hour sessions per Case – Session 1: Uniprofessional, Scope of MY Practice – Sessions 2 and 3: Interprofessional 9 students (from approximately 9 different professions) 1 facilitator (faculty from any college) Case based vignettes Total of 5 cases over the first year curriculum

Second Year Asynchronous – Through Blackboard LMS wiki and blogs Face-to-face activity Goals: – Understanding collaborative care – Promoting teamwork – Sharing information – Including patients

Third Year Case Conferences: Team-based discussions – Each profession takes the lead on a grand rounds case – Students are expected to discuss the case and contribute to collaborative care plans – Real and standardized cases are used Examples: Diabetes, stroke, polypharmacy Interprofessional Observations – Difficult to schedule around curricula
