Bluetooth Bluetooth Special Interest Group-mbangunkan spesifikasi &standard bg bluetooth. Bfungsi pd 2tahap iaitu pada fizikal-pjanjian mgunakan standard frekuensi radio & produk harus bsetuju mengenai bila bit dhantar,berapa byk bit dhantar pd suatu masa dan memastikan data diterima=data dhantar. Membolehkan sambungan tanpa wayar yg berlingkungan kecil iaitu mgunakan komputer, pencetak,kamera digital,PDA, handphone berkamera, headset, tetikus& papan kekunci. 2jenis rangkaian iaitu piconet & scatternet. Piconet ada 1master&7slave. Scatternet terdiri drpd beberapa piconet.

Ciri media  2.4GHz ISM Band yg dibahagi kpd 79channel 1MHz setiapsatu  Bkuasa rendah& lingkungan 10m  Ada beberapa layer iaitu, radio frequency layer, baseband layer,L2CAP, application layer. Radio frequency layer  Bg elak gangguan, ia menggunakan Frequency-hopping spread spectrum  Sst peranti mgunakan frekuensi 625mikrosaat (1/1600s)sblm ke frekuensi lain  Pemancar menukar frekuensi 1600kali setiapsaat

 Baseband layer  Ada 3jenis frame: 1,3 atau 5 slot masa  Mengawal& menghantar paket data ke radio link  2jenis pemindahan data iaitu ACL asynchronous connectionless (data) & SCO synchronous connection oriented(audio) link  Logical Link Control&Adaption Protocol (L2CAP) - multiplexing, segmentation &reassembly, quality of services and group management.

Kelebihan Kelemahan Berinteraksi dgn peranti lain tanpa line of sight Pemindahan data wayarles yg laju Akan mengesan sendiri alat yg ada bluetooth disekitarnya Sekuriti-ada kodPIN yg akan dtukar kpd 128bit.  Kawasan liputan kecil  Sambungan yg lambat  Risiko keselamatan data  Mahal berbanding IR

 Pemindahan imej &videoklip antara komputer &kamera  Telefonbimbit mempunyai sambungan scr auto dgn internet utk terima/hantar  Melayari internet di setiap lokasi yg berkeupayaan bluetooth
