FUNDAMENTAL FEATURES Each Course = 50 weeks duration Each Course = 8 modules+ study skills & research methods programme + individual project PgC=Attend 4 pass 4 modules PgD = Attend 8 pass 8 modules MSc = PgD + individual project You always get the highest award

BASIC FEATURES OF A MODULE Four week structure Notes for every module Assignment/examination based 50 hours of reading 35 hours of teaching 65 hours of assignment work Two weeks to complete assessments

BASIC FEATURES OF A MODULE Minimum of 80 % attendance is required Punctuality is essential Student feedback sessions are compulsory Penalty for late submission Two lives for each module Penalty for copying = FAIL

BASIC FEATURES OF A MODULE Pass marks = 40% ALL modules require 35% minimum pass on each (Assignments/All Exams/Tests/Etc) Award with Pass Award with Merit Award with Distinction 10 % distinctions, 60 % merits & 30 % pass

RULES TO WATCH Modules start time etc Attendance taking and penalties Assignment submission procedures - no excuses Must submit hard and soft copy of Assignment Late submission penalties You will get assignments back after marking Re-submission & associated fee Read the hand-book Ask if you do not understand anything

Attendance & Submission rules Rules will be enforced Penalty for late submission: 1 week late - 10% 2 weeks late - 20% 2+ weeks late - Fail and resit

Attendance Penalty 80% & more - no penalty 70 %-80% attendance – maximum grade awarded would be grade ‘B+’ (60%) 60 –70% attendance – maximum grade awarded would be grade ‘B-’ (50%) 50 - 60% attendance – mark would be capped at grade C (40%) below 50% - you will fail, attend module again and pay
