Suva Suva is the capital of The Fiji Islands since 1882 Largest city in the South pacific Home to more than half the countries population In 1879 Suva’s population was a mere 200 people and now it has more than 200,000 inhabitants.

A large chunk of the population comes from college students. Suva is home to a branch of The University of South Pacific and Fiji Institute of Technology. Hosted the South Pacific Games three times

Navala Village The traditional village of the Fijian people All homes are built out of traditional materials- bamboo walls, thatch roofs Home are built for every new marriage and take about one month to make.

Every visit to Navala village starts with a welcome ceremony in which the tourist drinks the traditional Fiji drink made from the roots of the Yagona tree bonding them with the culture

Rotuma 450 Kilometers away from Suva Rotuma is well known for two reasons 1) It is shaped like a whale 2) It is a fragile volcanic island with craters rising up 250m. Until recently you needed an invitation from a Rotuman resident to step foot on the island.

In addition to Rotuma being a shield volcano made out of alkali-olivine basalt, it has many other physical attributes Rotuma has the richest soil of the Fiji’s growing mangos, papayas, bananas, oranges, and melons Rotuma is filled with rainforests, mountain peaks, and coral reefs.

Kadavu Rugged and mountainous terrain Still has 75% of it’s natural rainforest which brings about its diversity of birds Fijis unspoiled land One of the more underdeveloped parts of the Fijis Main occupation : Farming Reliant on subsistence farming. Few roads
