Aplia Online homework. Register following instructions on blackboard (see course information link).blackboard First assignment due Friday at 11 p.m. Combination of practice and graded problems. Only graded portions directly enter grade calculation. No extension of deadlines. 10% of grade All graded assignments count equally in overall Aplia score. – two lowest scores dropped.

Turning point Audience response system. Purchase clicker or virtual device according to instructions on blackboard (course info). Register device id through blackboard. Participation bonus – Daily score: >70%  1 point .5 points <40  0 points – At end of semester, percent of total points earned determines bonus 90% and above  3 points  2 points  1 point Below 70  0 points – Forgetting device or class absence is 0 points. – Academic dishonesty to submit answers for someone else; to allow someone else to submit for you; or to submit answers when absent. – Start using devices on Thursday 8/24.

Grade Determination Two midterms: 25% weight on each Quizzes: 10% weight on overall quiz performance. – Two lowest quiz scores will be dropped in calculation of the overall quiz score. Aplia homework: 10% weight – Two lowest Aplia scores will be dropped in calculation of the overall quiz score. Final exam (30% weight). If you do better on the final than on your worst midterm (in percentage terms), the percentage score you receive on the final will replace the score received on your worst midterm.
