Year 2 SATs When: 18th May – 5th June 2015 Tests spread across the 2 weeks Please make sure your child is in school every day!

Year 2 SATs Why: Data is collected nationally. It helps to set national expectations and measures how the school is meeting the needs of its pupils. Used to predict and set targets for KS2. Used to track progress to ensure we are meeting the needs of each and every child. 18th May – 5th June 2015

Year 2 SATs How: One to one reading Small group maths tasks Independent writing tasks Independent reading comprehension Independent maths test The assessment will be no different from what we have done in any other assessment week! 18th May – 5th June 2015

Year 2 SATs What can you do? Before: Read every night and ask questions about the stories and the characters. Support with homework tasks which follow up learning and prepare for the assessments During: EARLY BEDTIME! BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING – FEED YOUR BRAIN! Reassure that they have made excellent progress and there is nothing to worry about!! 18th May – 5th June 2015
