Santa Susana High School Parking Lot Safety

If you know your ride will show up before school is out, ask your ride to park in a parking spot until you are securely in the car. The Red curb is not a parking spot.

Please do not pick-up and drop-off in the traffic flow lanes – marked with the arrows

Observe how stopping in the traffic flow lane can block others from exiting properly. In addition, notice all the safe open parking spots that could be used. Mom. This is dangerous! openopen If I pull out will I hit her?

Sitting parked behind another parked car blocks the flow of traffic and prevents others from backing up SSHS Parking Lot Safety

Please do not park in the area between the Counseling office and the parking spots closet to the campus (keep Clear) KeepClear A bottleneck here prevents our busses with special needs students from exiting in a timely manner

If you enter and leave campus on a bike, please walk the bike when you get on campus. The special needs students who get off the busses in the “Bus Zone” cannot react quickly to speeding bicyclists coming by.

Keep the traffic flowing do not block the flow lane Park in a parking spot while waiting The same etiquette applies to the student parking lot (Lower Lot)

The lower parking lot is the preferred pick up and drop off lot for your use because There is a drop-off & pick- up loop

In addition, the lower parking lot is the preferred pick up and drop off lot for your use because There are more parking spots for drivers to park in while they wait for you. 2.It frees up room for teachers and administrators to get out of the faculty lot in time to make afterschool meetings 3.It would allow easier entrance and exit for busses with special needs students 4.In the event of an emergency, emergency personnel and vehicles would have adequate access.

Watch for the No left turn signs as you exit the student parking lot (lower lot).
