Nieman Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

C.A.R.E. Demonstrate CARE by pulling forward past this sign into the drop-off/pick-up zone. Thank you.

Car Riders—Arrival Enter from 67 th Street. Remain in one lane. Continue to pull as far around the circle drive as you can. Once you reach a stopping point, your child may exit. Continue out to 67 th Street. Breakfast is served from 7:40—8:00. Students who arrive before 7:40 will wait outside. Please do not arrive before 7:40, as your child will not be supervised.

Car Riders—Dismissal Enter from 67 th Street two cars at a time (one from east, one from west). One lane becomes two lanes. Report your child’s name to the teacher standing by the recycling bin. Your child will be called out by walkie- talkie to be dismissed. Continue going in two lanes. Two lanes merge into one lane at the spot where the drive meets the parking lot. Continue to pull forward as students are dismissed. Please do not wait, resulting in large gaps between cars— not moving forward will hold up the line! Continue out to 67 th Street—right turn only. Enter 2 cars at a time Two car lanes Merge back to one car lane Students will be picked up along this sidewalk once you are able to pull your car around.

Car Riders—Dismissal A few friendly reminders: It is prohibited to park and leave your car in the circle drive during dismissal. If you are at the crosswalk in the circle drive, you will be asked to wait to cross. Priority will be given to moving cars through the circle drive. If you need to go inside Nieman, we encourage you to park in the lower level parking lot and use the sidewalk that goes around the edge. (See map.) Park here
