C OMPANY B ACKGROUND We are SolarCo – a solar power company headquartered in Philadelphia. Our company designs, installs, and sells solar energy systems to residential and commercial customers. We currently serve PA, NJ, NJ & MD. Our corporate mission is to make clean energy available to homeowners and businesses at a lower cost than traditional energy sources.

T EASER As a triple bottom line company, we believe very strongly in a business model that focuses on people, planet and profit. A partnership with Habitat Philadelphia will undeniably benefit the people and planet aspect, while profits will come in the future.

R ECOMMENDATION We will donate 2.5% of SolarCo’s pre-tax profits to buy and install solar panel systems on new Habitat Philadelphia houses, which will help us improve employee relations and gain positive publicity.

P ROPOSAL ‘R OAD M AP ’ FOR 2014 Donate - purchase and donate solar panel systems (tax-deductible contributions) Volunteer – SolarCo employees will install the systems (strengthen loyalty) Educate – sponsor unveiling events to teach the community about solar power Publicize – news and social media (improves brand awareness & reputation)

F INANCIAL I NVESTMENT Impact: $8,000 solar panel system per house (parts & labor) 5 houses in $40,000 As profit grows, we will help more families each year 8 installations in installations in 2017 Positive publicity will drive new customers, higher revenues and profits
