Officer Elections We will be using the trickle-down method –You are free to run for more than one position –Think about who’s been active and involved Each candidate presents a one minute speech with a one minute Q&A session –Candidate then leaves room and the floor is open for discussion –Only positive statements allowed

Officer Elections After each candidate for a particular position has presented, the floor will be opened for a 5 minute discussion over all the candidates Candidates need 50% of the votes to win –In the event of no majority, the top two runner- ups will face off in a final vote

You’re an Officer, what now? All officers must: Table at events and promote SASE through flyering Usher for SASE at a football game Attend officer meetings, regular meetings, and as many SASE events as possible Attend the regional conference

Officer Position Descriptions –President (Currently Nathan) Point of contact between SASE national and Cockrell School and our chapter Facilitate and oversee all chapter activities Help plan the national and regional conferences Register the org at the beginning of the year, book the meeting room –VP External (Currently Jenny) Work as our corporate liaison Discover new partners Maintain the SASE corporate package

Officer Position Descriptions –VP Internal (Currently Sally) Keep track of SASE membership, recruits new members Maintain the Facebook group and plans socials and events Manage the point system –Treasurer (Currently Justin) Manage all org funds and account balance Take care of org purchases and receipts, funding, reimbursements, food orders Fundraising

Officer Position Descriptions –Secretary (Currently Quincy) Sends s and newsletters, creates powerpoints Records meeting minutes Maintains SASE’s website and calendar Takes pictures –SEC Rep (Currently Shanery) Be our liaison between SASE and other org Advertise SASE at other orgs Be on subcommittees, meet all SEC requirements, inform other officers of events
