Self-Questioning Strategies  Generating questions to guide thinking while reading.  Strategies:  Question-Answer Relationships  I Wonder… Statements  Request  Paired Questioning

Paired Questioning  Take turns generating text-related questions and responding to them.  At the end, one person summarizes and the other agrees or disagrees and justifies.  Can use titles/subtitles, paragraphs, or whole sections of text.  Discussion is encouraged.
