What is an iPad An iPad is a tablet PC, it combines the functions of a phone and a computer, which makes it a Smartphone. It was designed by Apple Inc. It has similar functions of an iPhone and an iPod touch, however it is more powerful and better.

How it Works? An iPad works in a very similar way than an iPod touch, you can touch it and do everything with your hands, and also you can turn the screen. With Safari you can go to any web page and see it comfortably in the 9.7 inch screen, as well as your mail, with its virtual keyboard you can write, notes, memos, organize your agenda… You can see photos, videos and listen to music. Besides, in the Apple store you can find more than 150,000 application that you can buy. With iWork you can create keynotes, pages, and numbers.

Can an iPad replace a computer? The new iPad is really a wonderful invention, however, can it be replaced by a computer? One of the most important differences is that the iPad has no USB ports, differing from any computer, and that creates a huge problem with all the files you must saved, besides, what about printing? Which is also very useful and important. The keyboard is also another limitation, because it is easier and faster to type on an manual keyboard than on a virtual keyboard. Considering this issues, I can say that an iPad can not really replace a computer, however it can be very useful and the closest to a computer.

Would you buy an iPad? I think that an iPad is not necessary for a student of 15 years old, so no, I would not buy an iPad, I rather prefer to use a laptop to do all my works, because I can take it anywhere and provides me the necessary to do all what I need.
