Two Mote Projects  Sundial –Prof. Ruzena Bajcsy and SUPERB student –  Ivy Infrastructure Project –Prof. Kris Pister –

Sundial  Investigate properties of light sensors on motes  Ultimate goal: to build a mote camera –Arrays of light sensors in unusual geometries –Automatic sensor calibration  Near goal: Sundial

Ivy Infrastructure Project  Principle goal is to provide a research infrastructure  People: Kris Pister, Barbara Hohlt, Jaein Jeong, Support Staff, JP Vainio  Advertisment for fulltime PA-II out now (CITRIS)  First Demo: BSAC Equipment Inventory

Idea  A network of fixed and mobile motes in Cory Hall  1 year on 2 AA batteries  ~1% duty cycle  Motes send connectivity information and “custom data” to a base station  Log and web interface
