The United States Departments of Commerce and State have joined together to support the League of Green Embassies Program as part of the National Export Initiative. The Program offers an unprecedented opportunity for U.S. companies working in the clean energy, and green building sectors to place their products and technologies in U.S. embassies, which then can be used as to showcase those technologies, and support additional sales into foreign markets. Three key goals of the League of Green Embassies Program are to: advance the presidential mandate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in USG buildings; demonstrate the capabilities of U.S. products and technologies to the world market; increase the exports of U.S. products and services in line with the National Export Initiative.
