Steps for Initial Planning It is important to know that you do not need to extend your time in school in order to study abroad 1. Go to the International Programs Office in the Miller Building for initial advising 2. Consult with your academic advisor to see how your study abroad program will fit into your academic program 3. Get approval from both your academic advisor and your department chair 4. After you get approval for your chosen courses from your advisor, department international coordinator, and associate dean, you can register for your abroad program.
