Credits transfer, grades: P/F Make progress toward your degree Take engineering and non-engr classes overseas Plan ahead! Plan overseas courses with advisor Reserve electives if possible “Last 30 Credit” rule waived with consent

9 Financial Matters Tuition exchange (with few exceptions): pay regular UW tuition $300 program fee Health insurance is required: $34/month Federal financial aid applies Most State and private scholarships also apply Other scholarship opportunities

10 Eligibility Must be admitted to any department (EGR students can participate in China program) 3.0 cumulative GPA requirement (2.5: China) 4 semesters of foreign language (if applicable) Application Deadlines March 1 (for fall or year) October 1 (for spring) Early December (for China) Applications available online

Select focus of country/region 16 credits 0-9 credits in language (after 1st eight credits) 6-15 credits in ‘area studies’ 1 credit “Current Issues in International Engineering” upon return Minimum 5 week international study, work or volunteer experience Complete requirements abroad or at UW
