What are feeds? Latest news on a topic from a particular source Frequently changing XML documents Standardized format for Strategic Dissemination of Information

How do people use them? As a consumer, subscribe in a feed reader program As a webmaster, integrate into your webpages

RSS overview Incoming feeds displayed in the catalog (built-in RSS to XHTML converter token) –Free feature since 2006LE, service commitment to enable Outgoing one-to-many feeds of catalog data –Feed Builder product Outgoing one-to-one feeds of patron record events –My Record Feeds product

Incoming feeds token Bring any feed to any customizable page (or newly-created HTML file) in WebPAC It uses a simple token No programming effort for you. No third party products. Simple syntax you can just type right into your page.

Feed Builder product A tool for SDI by RSS feeds: Query-based e.g. “new books at the Science library” Review file-based e.g. “Local authors” Use the RSS token to display the feeds in catalog
