Initial Focus Areas zA testbed of communicable disease related networks, institutions, and individuals in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation member economies, building upon high-performance communications networks that are currently in place zA network-aware distance learning application to deliver courses designed to advance learning about emerging infections and bioterrorist-related outbreaks zTesting of secure, self-optimizing surveillance tools for the electronic notification of disease with guaranteed Quality of Service and a Geographic Information System component.
