Background Information  More than 40 entities under the jurisdiction of the Governor of the Commonwealth of PA invest approximately $1 Billion annually to create and support information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems.  Investment and development efforts of this scope and magnitude need to be prioritized and leveraged to enhance information sharing and standardization across state government agencies.  The events of 9/11/01 have generated an increased need for strengthening homeland security and coordinating IT security controls to protect the Commonwealth Citizens and infrastructure from attack.
