5 5 Mission Current Plan  The mission of the JIN is to improve public safety by providing criminal justice practitioners with complete, timely, and accurate information and to improve operational efficiency by facilitating the integration of disparate systems throughout the state. 6 6 Goals Current Plan  The goal of the JIN is to develop and maintain in a cost-effective manner, a statewide network of criminal justice information that enables sharing and integrated delivery of justice information maintained in the state’s independent information systems. Increasing the capability and user base is essential to integration in order to provide information to the justice community to improve public safety, as highlighted by recent national events. Current Plan  Develop and support technology and design principles: Providing leadership in technology standards and procedures will lay the foundation for consistent and interoperable information exchange throughout the Washington justice community.
