Women Development Forum (WDF): Achievements, Plan and Issues UZGP & UPGP

Objectives (according to Bye Laws): Strengthen women’s role in UP, UZP & Municipality affairs Sensitize and capacitate WDF members Establish networking with other organizations Contribute in Parishad activities for achieving gender equality Facilitate community women for their socio-economic development Understand LGI’s acts and regulations for better contribution in the Parishads & Raise voice for formulating gender responsive legal frameworks

Areas of ActionKey Achievement Strengthen women’s creativity and earning Brahmanbaria Sadar WDF organized Pitha Mela by organizing local women with 12 stalls on 23 January, 2015, they arranged fund of BDT. 50,000 from UZP and sold Pitha of 60,000 BDT. Sunamganj Sadar WDF also participated in the Pitha Mela on 18 February, 2015 Brahmanbaria Sadar WDF also going to organize Nari Mela on 7-8 March by getting allocation of 2,00000 BDT from UZP.
