3 History and Choices 2002/2003 Monash University Library begins the selection of a new interlibrary loans system CLIO software is selected because of its ability to integrate with Endeavor Voyager ILMS [integrated library management system] implementation begins configuration is completed, but the old system collapses in February and CLIO goes live as is, without testing. 2006, 18 months later, it is fully functional and communicating with LADD.

5 Borrowing, workflow Requests are received through the WebVoyage catalogue. Requests are processed in the ILLRequest screens. Receipt, follow-up, enquiries, statistics, reports, etc. are all actioned in the ILLManagement screens.

19 Lending, workflow Receipt, process,, follow-up, enquiries, statistics, reports, etc. are all actioned in the ILLManagement screen/Lending. New requests are imported from the ‘Review New Lending Requests’ and the ‘Get Text ’ screens.

33 Advantages of Endeavor ILLS It integrates with Voyager. Importing requests is easier, just click a button. Checks patron details and eligibility. Can patron directly from the ILL New Request screen. Creates a temporary record and hold, and subsequently deletes the record when the item is returned. Prints a barcode on a sticky label for charging out loanable items. The barcode number is the request number. Can ‘make new request’ without having to retype information. Sends out overdue notices automatically from Circ.
