What is Web 2.0? Web 2.0 is made up of many things. Eg. Web applications, social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis and blogs. A Web 2.0 site allows its users to interact with other users or to change website content, in contrast to non-interactive websites where users are limited to the passive viewing of information that is provided to them.

WEB 1.0 Web 1.0 is about reading the information and clicking links to the next page and reading that. Web 1.0 is edited and produced. WEB 2.0 Web 2.0 is about interacting with the computer in ways that once nobody would have thought of such as webcasting (talking to people using a web cam), instant chatting, being able to upload videos and photos onto the net and creating blogs. Web 2.0 is Raw and can be easily changed

Wikispaces is site where you can make your own page and send s. Wikispaces are commonly used in schools. Wikipedia is a online encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Wikipedia is used in education because it is any information site that can be easily accessed but be careful because Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, so some of the information could be inaccurate.

Photo sharing sites are where anyone can upload images onto the internet for free and can then share them with friends. Some Photo Sharing sites include flickr, photobucket and ImageShack

Social networking sites are sites where you can contact other people using instant chatting and s. Social networking sites include Msn, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
