UN programming principles Gender equality – promotes equality and participation of women in agriculture Environmental sustainability – supports major environmental conventions (climate change, biological diversity, desertification) Capacity development – supports nationally owned and led processes to support development of capacities (organizations, individuals, enabling environment) Human rights- based approach – Promotion of right to food, and decent work for rural people Results- Based management

CP Policies and Principles “The new approach requires that CPF and CWP be adopted for all countries receiving FAO support, regardless of whether there is an FAO country representation.
